Enjoy kayaking, view wildlife and learn about the natural history and heritage surrounding Cayucos. Ocean kayaking is the best way to feel, see and connect with the beauty of the Pacific. Every tour and retreat is planned with your interests in mind and beginners are welcome. Tours explore untouched kelp forests and remote beaches; they allow you to view marine life that is unique to the Central Coast. Learn about Chumash Native Americans and early history along the coast. All participants have an opportunity to help protect the heritage of the Cayucos coastal region, if desired.
Collecting marine debris (you know, trash) on trips is actually fun. Good clean fun. (Only a short time on trips is devoted to this - the good news is that it's sometimes difficult to find trash!) The more unique the litter is - and exploring where it originated from - the more fun. Prizes are provided on each trip for the most unusual trash found! All ages can play!
Tours are geared to families, groups and individuals. Weather permitting, tours are conducted April to November each year and advance reservations are required.
